This is more a job for gphoto2 than for sane (sane now has a gphoto2 backend
to use gphoto2 as a camera driver)

But currently it is not support for that (not that I know of)

BTW, perhaps can you send me PRIVATELY the dmesg output after pluging the
camera... That can help determining some info.
