Does scanimage -L work? Probably not, but you never know.
Can you give some more details about your operating system, version,
and platform? Which version of SANE do you use?

I have a CX type, but that shouldn't matter:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 03 Lun: 00
Vendor: MUSTEK Model: MFS-06000CX Rev: 4.04
Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: ffffffff

I'm using (but that shouldn't matter either):
scsi0 : Adaptec AIC7XXX EISA/VLB/PCI SCSI HBA DRIVER, Rev 6.2.1
<Adaptec 2940 SCSI adapter>
aic7870: Single Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 16/255 SCBs
This is Linux 2.4.13 i386 with the latest SANE CVS:
[sane-find-scanner]

I don't know what this means and I don't get this output. On my
system: no problem.
Abel, any idea?
Bye,
