[sane-devel] problems with tce-s440(plustek,supported)

This scanner needs an extra module-driver, ok. I've install sane, xsane and 
this module from http://home.t-online.de/home/g-jaeger/plustek.html.

But when i try to load the module:
# modprobe pt_drv
or
# make load

I've got this error:

Like the device does not exist! And in my logs the message:

My paralel port is configured in bios in epp mode(0x378,irq7), my printer 
(epson lx300) is perfect with this.

Whats going wrong?

My box is an k6-3-400 with 128mb ram, mb fic 503a, with slack8 and kernel 
2.4.12-ac2
