The latest CVS version allows finally to use the IEEE-1394
interface with the EPSON Perfection 2450. IEEE-1394 was
working with the Expression 16x0 scanners for quite a while,
the Perfection 2450 just was a bit more picky about the
command sequence.=20

If you have a Perfection 2450 and a IEEE-1394 interface
card, give it a try. It's much faster than USB.
