[sane-devel] strange behaviour of sane rpms

Hi all,
I installed Mandrake 8.1 on my P133 without X (should be just a server). My
scanner is a Umax Astra 1200S SCSI. Then I tried to install
sane-backends-1.0.7-4mdk.i586.rpm, but it needed libsane. So I wanted to install libsane, but
libsane needs sane! Deadlock! Also both packages require Libusb, but what
for? My scanner is SCSI, my motherboard does not support USB.
One year ago, I ran Mandrake 7.1 on this very machine with a sane scanner
server, and it worked fine, no problems in installing.
What am I doing wrong?
