[sane-devel] trying to find epson usb scanner on mac osx

Howdy,

	If I run scanimage three times in a row, I get three different results:

ttyp1:~/src/sane-backends >scanimage -L
device `epson:libusb:-08:005' is a Epson Perfection636 flatbed scanner
ttyp1:~/src/sane-backends >scanimage -L
device `epson:libusb:-08:005' is a Epson Perfection636 flatbed scanner
ttyp1:~/src/sane-backends >scanimage -L
[epson] ident failed


The first two results differ because the first time is fast and the 
second time is slow (like 30 seconds).

Any idea's what is causing the degradation? I also get different 
results in the debug output if I run scanimage -T twice (but the output 
is too big to post to this list.
