The backend will perform the firmware upload only when needed. If the 
firmware was already downloaded (e.g. if you downloaded it manually 
by using "agfafirm" or running a scanning application in Windows) the 
scanner will remember it's firmware until power-cycled. In this case 
the backend will not attempt to access the firmware file.
