Try to cut out the scanner.o driver and use the libusb interface=20
instead. One way to accomplish this is by unloading the scanner
module manually (as root):  /sbin/rmmod scanner
Then change the entry in epson.conf from "usb /dev/usb/scanner0" to
just "usb".=20
