The scanner is currently not supported by the SnapScan backend (to be=20
honest I didn't yet know it existed).
The USB IDs of the scanner have to be added to snapscan.conf.=20
Additionally the ID string(s) of the scanner have to be added in=20
snapscan.h, if it behaves very differently from other scanners the=20
sourcecode needs changes, too.
Can you provide more info? What would be helpful is the output from=20
lspci, the output from "acerfirm -q" before firmware upload and the=20
output from "acerfirm -v <firmware_filename>"
You can get the latest version of acerfirm from=20
http://snapscan.sf.net/acerfirm=20
Running "acerfirm -q" will give you a hint on which firmware file to=20
use. See http://snapscan.sf.net for more details on firmware etc.
