[sane-devel] SANE for embedded linux

Hi,
I was wondering if SANE has been ported onto Embedded Linux? I am trying to come up with a solution to drive a scanner through a Linux PDA device using the USB port for a biometric project. If there isn't one available, do you think that an attempt to port the code would be in vain? Appreciate any advise you could give me.
