Hi,

what do you mean ported to embedded Linux????
Try and download the SANE sources and compile it for your specific
platform. It should be possible to make the configure step run within a
cross-development tool-chain. The sources itself should compile fine.
Some backends might have problems with endianess. So I guess we
never really checked cross-compiling, but native compilation should
work for your target. On the sources, normally nothing needs to be 
changed...

BTW.: There's no such thing like Embedded Linux! You can run the kernel
on embedded systems, that's all!
