[sane-devel] Epson RX500 1200+ dpi "Out of memory"

Hello,

I recently purchased an Epson Rx500 for my wife and
managed to get it working quite well for printing and
partially for scanning.

The issue I am having is that I get an out of memory
error from 'xsane' whenever I try to scan in color at
any resolution >= 1200dpi.  I am able to scan bw at
the higher resolutions just fine.

I am using sane-backends-1.0.15 on Fedora Core 3.

Has anyone managed to get the epson backedn to scan in
color at the higher resolutions?

Any help is appreciated.
