[sane-devel] latest sane screwed up my hoary box

Right, checkinstall is just a simple way to create .deb and .rpm
packages, i have used it hundreds of times with no problems. i did
not know they had a compromised server. i was using the hoary package
from the respositories.

I just know what happened, after I ran checkinstall I ran normal make
install and it blew up again, same thing happened.

I am installing hoary now, the harddrive is fine, i ran memory tools,
fine. I ran the harddrive check fine.
My system was fine before I installed checkinstall from source in a
way I have for ages. I will figure this out on my own I guess.
