[sane-devel] Epson Perfection 4490 PHOTO

Hi,

today I got a Epson Perfection 4490 PHOTO scanner.

sane-find-scanner reports:
 found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8 [EPSON], product=0x0119 [EPSON
 Scanner]) at libusb:004:008
but scanimage -L don't find the scanner.

I added usb 0x04b8 0x0119 to /etc/sane.d/epson.conf
scanimage -L # reports
 device `epson:libusb:004:008' is a Epson  flatbed scanner
scanimage -d epson:libusb:004:008 > image.pnm # reports
 scanimage: sane_start: Invalid argument

I also tried the epkowa backend:
scanimage -d epkowa:libusb:004:008 > out.pnm # ends up in a
 Segmentation fault

My system is debian/testing:
 sane/testing uptodate 1.0.13-2
 libsane/testing uptodate 1.0.15-10
 libsane-extras/testing uptodate 1.0.15.9

Has someone experience with this scanner or can give me a hint how
to bring this device in operation?
