Correct, the polaroid driver downloads raw bayer data from the camera and
does only some postprocessing. For some cameras we do gamma correction of some
sort, for some we do not.
You can configure it in the camera driver source (pdc640.c) or do it by
hand in GIMP later.
(libgphoto2 itself can never do it as perfect as you would do it yourself.)
Btw, what is the USB ids of this camera?
If you want it changed in the driver, feel free to send a patch or tell me
what to change ;)
