Interesting. Well, anyway, tried the buffer option (2048) and 
disable-backtracking, no improvement at all.

Seems this thing is just slow. ->eBay.

(Anyone interestes in that device by chance? With controller, active 
terminator and cables? The image *quality* is great.)
