Hello again,

I have added my scanner codes into /etc/hotplug/usb/libsane.usermap.

Output of sane-find-scanner -q :
found USB scanner (vendor=0x07b3 [PLUSTEK INC], product=0x081c
[USB2.0SCANNER], chip=GL841) at libusb:003:005
found USB scanner (vendor=0x046d, product=0x0850) at libusb:001:004

But scanimage -L gives me only this:
device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a Noname BT878 video (Hauppauge (bt878)) virtual
device
Note: I have a Hauppage PCI tv card installed.

I'm using gentoo Linux.

Is there anything I could do which I haven't already done, to try and get my
scanner working?

Regards,
Farid
