IIRC, this model has _two_ locks.  One for the flatbed and one for the
transparency unit.  The latter is located in the lid.  Make sure to
unlock both.  Or was this the one that had the lock do double duty as
a foot?

Sorry, can't keep all those model names matched with the Japanese ones
(and their development names and codes).
