[sane-devel] Visioneer Problems

I have run the two commands. I then ran Xsane but it reported there are 
no devices.

1. robin at robin-desktop:~/download/SaneBackends/sane-backends-1.0.18$ 
sane-find-scanner -q
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04a7, product=0x0424) at libusb:002:003


2. robin at robin-desktop:~/download/SaneBackends/sane-backends-1.0.18$ 
SANE_DEBUG_AVISION=7 scanimage -L
[sanei_debug] Setting debug level of avision to 7.

..... this seems the relevant answer amonngst many lines:
[avision] attach: opening libusb:002:003
[avision] attach: open failed (Access to resource has been denied)


What should I do next?
