[sane-devel] Piano roll scanning

I have some piano rolls (recently purchased for a trifling sum) which I 
thought might be scan-able with my 11x17 sized ADF scanner, given a 
little modification. The industrious lads at http://www.iammp.org have 
been scanning them using their own homemade imagers, but I thought a 
sane-and-scanner combination might be up to the task.

So my question before I begin is: can sane handle very long scans, on 
the order of 7-10 meters?
