Why the heck GIT? Some 6 months ago I brought this up and
most people seemed to like hg or svn. I know some weeks ago
this git thing brought up, but, well, git is a pain to work
with IMHO. Way to hacky and cryptic to use. Hg is way easier
to get used to.

Well, the DM510 ID is in CVS, maybe even the last tarball
release.
