hi all,

since updating to the new backends and packages (apt-get
dist-upgrade), I get errors and my scanner is not working anymore. it
still can be found and scanimage -L works. But the device is busy. as
it seems, some kernel driver occupies the device and does not allow
sane to use it.
to the system:
it is a linksys nslu2 (arm) device running Debian 2.6.26-21lenny3.

here are some logs:

slug:~# scanimage -L
device `niash:libusb:002:004' is a Hewlett-Packard ScanJet 3300C flatbed scanner
slug:~# scanimage -T
scanimage: open of device niash:libusb:002:004 failed: Device busy
