	Hello,

	sheetfed scanners need to be calibrated with the vendor supplied 
calibration sheet first. Current SANE standard doesn't give a mean to signal 
user that the scan is done without shading calibration. To calibrate with 
xsane click on the 'calibrate' button in advanced options. With scanimage, 
give the --calibrate option on the command line. The calibration is stored to 
file so you won't have to calibrate again for the current user.
