[sane-devel] Fujitsu ScanSnap S1100

I had the ScanSnap S1100 scanner working well with Xsane using the epjitsu backend developed Allan Noah on Ubuntu 10.10 but after upgrading to Ubuntu 11.10 I now receive an 'out of memory' error when attempting to connect?
Can anyone help me debug?
