Hi ,

I read backend-writing.txt in www.sane-project.org. It says: Use only
ANSI C for your backend. Because C99 is not supported by the compilers
of some older platforms . This was mentioned on date Oct 10,2005.

I would like to know still is it applicable or can I use C++. Is it
acceptable by sane community if I use C++.

Regards
Ganapati
