Guys

We are trying to use four scanners (Epson V37) in a system. The images are translated to millimeters and then instructed to a robot.
See attached movie for concept.

The issue is the TWAIN API. See comments from earlier email.

Max,

I do not have a work around and sounds like an issue with the API. I would contact the vendor for the API for suggestions, use a different API, or a different scanner.

Sorry, no help on this topic,

Matt

Matt,

We have such an API. The problem is with duplicate scanners of identical models. Identical model scanners run on the same drivers and have the same data source. When we try to connect more than one, the first connected scanner blocks the second. Any workarounds you can think of?

Joe,

This answer would be API dependent. You would need to use an API that allows for all TWAIN compatible items to be listed then you could create a proper reference to the device(s).

Let me know if you have additional questions,

Matt

Matt

When scanning from multiple scanners, any understanding you may have to deal with “ in the way twain and wia protocol connects to drive”.
Max can fill you in.

Thanks

So, do you have a solution we can try?
