Is there any support for the scanning functions on the Epson XP-530 with
either the epson or epkowa drivers (connected by USB for preference)?

On power up dmesg reports:
[44358.688345] usblp 8-4:1.1: usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 5 if 1
alt 0 proto 2 vid 0x04B8 pid 0x110C
[44358.688406] usbcore: registered new interface driver usblp
[44358.870895] scsi 9:0:0:0: Direct-Access EPSON Storage
1.00 PQ: 0 ANSI: 2
[44358.891371] sd 9:0:0:0: [sdh] Attached SCSI removable disk
[44364.148537] usblp0: removed
[44364.153020] usblp 8-4:1.1: usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 5 if 1
alt 0 proto 2 vid 0x04B8 pid 0x110C

And sane-find-scanner reports:
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8, product=0x110c) at libusb:008:005

but scanimage -L reports:

No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).

And neither xsane nor iscan finds a scanner.

The output of lsusb -v does include a scanner interface in the list of
interfaces.

Thanks for any suggestions
