Hi all,

# SANE project members have been Bcc:d as well.

We have started moving the SANE project to a sane-project group[0] on
GitLab.com. The backends[1], frontends[2] and website[3] repositories
have been there for quite a while already and have so far been mirroring
what's on Alioth. Current project members will need to rejoin the
project on GitLab.com and will receive an invitation to do so shortly.

If you already have a GitLab.com account, all you should have to do is
login and accept. If you do not have such an account, you can use any
of your GitHub, Bitbucket, Google and Twitter accounts to do so instead.
Of course, you are free to create a new GitLab.com account as well.

In case you wish to contribute to the project and are not currently a
member, you can login to GitLab.com and request access. Access can be
on the group level or on a per project basis. There should be a button
somewhere in the upper-right corner where you can request access[4] on
all of the four links above.

# The invitations are on the group level.
# @Aaron, @Rolf> You have requested access yourselves already. This has
# been granted so you won't get an invitation :-)
# @Aaron> Sorry to have kept you waiting for so long.

For the time being, please keep pushing your commits to Alioth. Once
the respective Alioth repositories have become read-only, your attempts
to push will fail and should tell you what to do[5][6][7].

The migration process is coordinated via a milestone[8] on the "ops"
project. This project is for "stuff" related to the operation and
organization of the SANE project. Getting the current SANE project
members to join is issue#1[9] which also explains the access level
policy.

Please have a look at the list and feel free to add things you think are
missing and/or comment on existing issues.

Hope this helps,
