Hi Giles,

I just added your scanner to SANE. You can pull the recent version from
git now.

Or you can use my Ubuntu PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~rolfbensch/+archive/ubuntu/sane-git . Then you
must wait for the next version tomorrow.

Please report your results.
