There seems to be nothing about scanning on Linux that is not SANE. Some
scanners will never have SANE support.
I may well get flamed for this but so be it.
I have put together a LAN App that runs on Linux and supports the following
scanners via a web interface.
- ION AirCopy
- ION AirCopy E-Post Edition
- Halo Magic Scanner
- Mustek iScan Air / S400W
- Century CPS-A4WF
- Transcription Patri Kun A4 Wi-Fi Portable Scanner
- 転写パットリくん A4 Wi-Fiポータブルスキャナー
This makes one of these wireless portable battery opeated scanners now
network compatible and Linux copatible by way of a Linux host, and gets
past the compatibility issues with iOS (and OSX?), because you only need a
web browser to use it.
