[sane-devel] switching of scanner light in Epson Perfection 1640SU

Dear all,

I own a Epson Perfection 1640SU flatbed scanner. Is there a way to turn
of the lamp inside the scanner via the sane backend during scanning?
I'd like to scan numerous slides with DIY illumination from top. The
transparency unit takes only six at a time and when using it, the
scanned area is automatically reduced to the smaller opining of the
TPU.
