Subject: [sane-devel] Sane does not detect Canon TS6420a
With a newer version of (sane-backends-1.0.32) scanimage -V shows:
scanimage (sane-backends) 1.0.32; backend version 1.0.32
and scanimage -L also shows show:
device `pixma:04A918D3_01D66D' is a CANON Canon PIXMA TS6400 Series \
multi-function peripheral
with lsusb -d 04a9:18d3
Bus 001 Device 015: ID 04a9:18d3 Canon, Inc.
In other words, it looks like you need a more up-to-date version of
sane-backends. My systems are [formerly CentOS] from rockylinux.org.
I have rebuilt my version from xsane-0.999-42.el9.src.rpm, but looking
at the sources anything from xsane-0.999 should do.
Hope this helps, AG
