[sane-devel] Scanner with IP on a different network

Thanks Ralph, this solution worked fine.

Again, it would be nice for us non-experts if it could be done by 
filling a line in the user interface rather than by editing this file. 
That is the way it works with the printer half of the device. Maybe 
someone can incorporate it into future versions.
