Hi folks,

Firstly, I've added the last couple of students and mentors to this
mailing list.

Secondly, it's now time for this year's students and mentors to be
getting to know each other, and for the students to start getting
involved in Debian if they're not already. I'm hoping that some of you
have already started on that front, but if not here's some
suggestions:

 * Please make sure that the details in the wiki page[1] are correct
as far as possible. Things like setting up mailing lists and/or
code repositories are nice and easy, so let's get those organise
   too.

 * If you have a blog, we'll add you to Planet Debian[2] so you can
share your life with the world... :-) Mail me with details if you'd
like to join the party there.

 * Join in on IRC or mailing lists as you have time / want to. Get
involved, start some discussion, get to know people. This is how
   lots of our development happens.

Any questions, fire away! If you have any problems, talk to the admins
as listed in the wiki and we'll do our best to help. :-)
