*Improvements to Debian Search - Report 8

*
Mentors : Olly Betts and Dan Colish

*Work I am doing right now:*

   - So debconf finally ends and with that, ends an experience of a
lifetime.Sorry for being late with the report as I had to move to geneva
from yverdon les bains and was busy with the packing for going back home.
   - I tested the two new schemes and found out some bugs. One bug was
because I was creating a reference to a weighting expansion scheme inside
an if(){} and then trying to use it outside the if which gave me a huge
headache until I realized what was wrong.
   - I wrote tests for the Bo1 scheme and they work well.
   - But , some tests based on the old mechanism still fail and I am having
a hard time finding out why. I will discuss this in detail with my mentor
   this week.
   - I cleaned up all the current code and pushed it on github for the
feedback of my mentor. I will continue understanding the reasons for the
failiure of some of the tests while my mentor reviews my code.

*Work I will do in the next week:*

   - I will work on the code and tests in order as some tests based on the
   old mechanism are still failing.
   - I will modify the current code as per the feedback from my mentor.
   - My code can be found here in the branch called query_expansion_trial: -
   - https://github.com/xapian/xapian/pulls

   -Regards
