Yes I thought about this too, as this is our _de facto_ approach for
such things!

Then we are probably on the right track ;) But I have another idea of
getting the logs locally -- by SSHing into Alioth (again!) and getting
the logs from the SVN repository there itself. I am investigating
this.

BTW, the good news is that the rest of the code is working properly.
When we get a reply from the Alioth administrators, we will just add a
script that updates the table and separates the upstream contributors.
