The best place is this mailing list.  The tuxmath list
(tuxmath-devel at lists.sourceforge.net) includes most of the same
people, and it would be worth reading both.  There isn't a lot of
volume on the lists as our project is small and we all have busy jobs
unrelated to tux4kids.

When a list of potential projects is posted, it will be at
http://tux4kids.alioth.debian.org
