[Tux4kids-tuxtype-dev] patch from the debian package

Hi,

I'm currently working on packaging tuxtype 1.7.4 for Debian, and noticed that 
while
http://patch-tracking.debian.net/patch/series/view/tuxtype/1.5.17.dfsg1-4/120_fix-null-pointer.patch
still applies, it causes the package to fail to build, so I dropped it for 
now.

Could someone more knowledgable in C than me please look at the patch and see 
if its still useful and if so, include in trunk? Thanks!
