[Tux4kids-tuxtype-dev] 2010 GSoC students announced

Hello all,

Yesterday Google released the official announcement of students
accepted for this year's Summer of Code.  For this year, Tux4Kids was
given six GSoC slots, which were assigned to the projects listed
below.  These were selected from 34 completed applications, including
many other very strong proposals.  This year's projects will be:

1. Joao Moriera: "Tux Paint Collaborative Work Web Application",
mentored by Bruno Dilly.
2. Ankit Choudhary: "Accessiblity Improvements for Tux Paint",
mentored by Pere Pujal.
3. Brendan Luchen: Development of libt4k-common, mentored by David Bruce
4. Vikas Singh: Development of tux4kids-admin, mentored by Michal Switakowski
5. Wenyuan Guo: SVG optimization, mentored by Tim Holy.
6. Jesus Magar: New "Tux History" game, mentored by Akash Gangil.

Congratulations are in order for the six successful applicants.  We
also have the best of wishes for everyone who applied and was not
accepted, as there were many very good proposals that clearly took a
lot of effort to prepare.
