If there isn't an official Jamaican locale, we will think of some
other placeholder that doesn't conflict with Japanese.

I definitely want tuxtype to properly support Asian languages, so we
have started to adapt Tux Paint's input methods code to convert
multiple keypresses into a single Unicode character. The code is in
tuxtype, but it isn't yet actually being used by the program.

It would be nice if SDL or some other readily-available lib handled
this in a standardized way.

There certainly are plenty of potential tuxtype users in Japan, China,
Korea, and other Asian countries that we don't currently support, so I
think this is important.
