Unperish and Git (was: Some more queries on packaging with Git)

Yes, please. I don't use Git myself at all (yet), and I have no idea
what is a good way of integrating it with Unperish.
As has been hinted, Unperish is "generic": it's not meant to be tied to
any one version control system. Rather, it's meant to support any and
all of them, even if it currently only supports the one I use (Bazaar).
The way I envision things to happen is that a Git plugin will be
written, which does similar things as the Bazaar plugin does: basically
it builds a release tarball, dumps the changelog, etc. The other
Unperish plugins can then continue from that.
I'm going to be away for the next three weeks or so, but after that I
expect to have time to work together with anyone who's willing to help
with the Git plugin. (Or Subversion/Mercurial/Darcs/etc plugins, of
course.)
