[Amavisd-new-debian-devel] RFH: amavisd-new CVS almost ready for unstable

It is tagged, and I am running it.  It will be uploaded to unstable before
new years, unless someone speaks up.  I am not going to change much more,
other than trying to deal with the conffile deletion stuff below IF I find
out a perfect solution.


For people who ran experimental versions, here's a heads'up:

1. For some reason, dpkg is NOT deleting removed conffiles, this means you
get a whole crapload of them inside /etc/amavis that you have to clean up
manually.

For people upgrading from old amavisd-new (current unstable, testing and
sarge):

1. amavisd-new will refuse to start until you remove the old conffile, since
it does not even attempt to automatically upgrade the config.

2. you get a bunch of outdated crap in the form of old templates in the
pt_BR, fr, it_IT and de_DE directories under /etc/amavis.
