The embedded "_" characters indicate accelerator keys used with
Alt+<key>, and yes, you do need to take care of this in the translation.
Please precede a suitable letter in the translated string with a "_"
character.

It's best if the accelerator keys can be distinct, although I think GTK+
provides some way to cope if they aren't (possibly just repeatedly
pressing the accelerator key; I haven't checked).

I'll wait for an amended version before applying this.
