Some points on the libccd vs bullet:
* libccd implements collision detection between convex shapes. Bullet
is a physics engine that solves equations of motion.
* At the most abstract level, Bullet computes F=ma and libccd computes
when and where two shapes overlap.
* libccd provides a subset of what the bullet collision library does
(though bullet also includes dynamics).
Hope it helps.
P.D: answers provided by my fellow co-workers at OSRF, Nate Koening and
Steven Peters.
