Actually, RPi 3 should work with pure Debian.  The
<URL: https://wiki.debian.org/RaspberryPi3 > page have more details, but
is slightly outdated.  The default kernel work with RPi 3, but not 2 or
1, I believe, and the firmware blog is in unstable already.
