My sincere apologies :-(

I did read the instructions and from memory that looked accurate so I
thought there was value in mentioning it. I should have checked more
thoroughly but my setup was working (for the whole family so reverting
to test was... awkward).

What can still help at this point is to relate my experience:
- I did migrate while radicale 1.x was still installed,
- I purged radicale 1.x
- I didn't touch anything about the user definitions, neither on the
  freedombox nor on the phones/tablets (android and iphone).
