[Nut-upsuser] Need help with Unitek Alpha 1200sx.

The driver seems to load fine from the above, however upsd now seems a
no-go:
[root at www ups]# /usr/sbin/upsd
Network UPS Tools upsd 2.2.0-
not listening on 0.0.0.0 port 3493
------------------
If I try:
[root at www ups]# /usr/bin/upsc myups at localhost ups.status
Error: Driver not connected

I also discovered that the log file is getting filled up with these errors:

Same thing happens if I use the init script for everything (I added the -u
root to the script).
