the lack of manpower, and the numerous tasks with a much higher priority
than the above (sorry for you) seems to be a good explanation.

now, the FLOSS movement is good enough to provide other means of support:
file a bug on Launchpad Ubuntu pointing this patch:
http://boxster.ghz.cc/projects/nut/changeset/2367

Chuck will hopefully have more time than me.
