The HID driver version can help pin things down. "MGE HID 1.33" was committed in 2014:

So it is somewhere between v2.7.1 and v2.7.2.

I am not a lawyer, but my understanding is that if they are distributing binaries of NUT, they need to provide a way for customers to get the source.
