Yep, it the general thrust of the change seems, OK I will refactor and
split in patches. I don't care about leaving in the Curses GUI as long
as we don't make it the default.

Will do that, but probably only next year. Busy with family and a sick
kid.

Will also send more elaborate responses to the comments by you and Leif
then.
